Network upgrading. Supervision, co-ordination, installation and commissioning of 96 outdoor GIS T-Type 132 & 275kV circuit breakers.
Koeberg Nuclear Power Plant, South Africa: 132kV GIS substation - Maintenance and repair work.
Preventative maintenance contract 132kV GIS substations countrywide, totalling over 150 units.
- Durban City Council, South Africa: Installation and commissioning of a new 132kV GIS distribution station.
- Cape Town City Council, South Africa: Technical support and preventative maintenance of 68 bays of 132kV GIS.
- SWAWEK, Namibia Electricity Board:
Preventative maintenance at the Ruacana Power Plant 132 & 330kV GIS substations.
Fault analysis after a major equipment failure and subsequent reinstatement.
Advisory during a major power line fault.
- SASOL II & III, South Africa: Installation and preventative maintenance of GIS equipment over a period of 15 years.
- ARAMCO, Saudi Arabia: Commissioning of a 22-bay 145kV GIS substation in Jubail.
- Libyan Electricity: Commissioning of a 14-bay 275kV GIS substation in Tripoli.
- NAPOCOR of Philippines: Site project management for the Sucat & Balintawak projects in Manila; a major consortium project comprising of 38 bays of 123/275kV GIS and open-terminal equipment,
transformers, control & protection equipment, power and control cable.

Projects 1973 - 2010
- ESKOM: Installation and supervision of the installation work in the HV switchyards for the Apollo (South Africa)
and Cahora Bassa (Mozambique) High Voltage AC-DC converter stations.
- Electricity Corporation, Dominican Republic: New 66/145/320kV distribution stations for the city of Santiago.
Project co-ordination between the local Santo Domingo and the European ABB offices, the clients and contractors.
- Midlands Electricity, Gloucester, UK: Site project manager at a turnkey GIS 132kV distribution station.
- Kuwait Ministry of Electricity: Specialist/consultant overseeing
preventative maintenance and repair on a variety of 145 & 330kV sub- and distribution stations over a period of four years.
- RWE new power station at Pembroke, South Wales:
Integration of five new bays of 400kV GIS and open-terminal equipment within a National
Grid-owned energized substation building. The live circumstances required very complex co-ordination at all times.
