One of my co-workers has started wearing an earring.

I wouldn't think twice about this normally, but this is a conservative
guy, so I've been curious about his sudden change in "fashion sense".

As we were coming in this morning, I said "I didn't know you were into
earrings."

"Don't make such a big deal, it's only an earring," he replied.

"So, really?" I persisted. "How long have you been wearing one?"

"Ever since my wife found it in our bed," he replied sheepishly.
